CAD

CAD is an acronym for Computer Aided Design or Computer Aided Drafting.  CAD programs create vector based graphics, which can be used for laser cutting or engraving.  CAD programs can be 2-dimensional or 3-dimensional, but all laser cutting is performed with 2-dimensional representations of the part to be cut.  Examples of CAD programs include AutoCAD, Rhino3D, Alibre, and many others.

Testimonials

"Over thanksgiving and Christmas last year you cut some parts for me for a wooden clock project - I just thought I would let you know how that turned out...  it's not 100% complete, but it's running.  Below is a link to a
video.  http://www.youtube.com/user/sound396#p/a/u/1/A3fc3GiaT0Y

I hope your business does well and sticks around.  This is exactly the kind of project that requires extremely high quality cutting or it simply would not work.  Imagine if one of the hundreds of gear teeth was a little burned and slightly too small – the gears would bind or skip and the clock wouldn’t run correctly.  I would not have been able to build this without the confidence that your cutting would be accurate.

Thanks for all your help with the project!"
