Does Laser Edge provide the materials for my order?
- For the most part the answer is yes, we do. If we do not carry it in stock, we can source it for you.
Why don't you display prices for sample jobs?
- Every job is different. Two designs that appear identical on the outside may have drastically differing materials and parts counts. We prefer to provide a free, no-obligation quote for your particular job, so that you can make an informed decision.
How should I setup my drawings for cutting?
- The drawing should be created in layers, with each layer identified with a material name and thickness (i.e. 1/8” balsa). Text that is intended to be engraved or cut should be noted, otherwise it will be considered a note. For more information on file setup, please see our setup page.
What file formats can you work with?
- We can work with .dwg, .dxf (AutoCAD), .ai (Adobe Illustrator), or .cdr (Corel Draw) files. Images can also be used along with our drafting services.
Do I have to know how to use CAD to take advantage of this service?
- Absolutely not. We welcome custom jobs that start from printed plans, and accurately dimensioned drawings. Our drafting service is competitive and you keep the files that are generated.
How are my items packaged?
- That depends. We take great care in packaging your items for safe shipment. Each job will be packaged in a uniquely safe way for the parts that you have ordered.
